at the bottom of the ocean, with the kid wishing to the blue fairy. that's where Kubrick would've ended it. none of that tacked on alien bullshit.

Think the theatrical version skips the majority of the last 45 minutes, and goes straight to the ending on the surface...huge WTF? when I saw it.
