Did your wife have to visit a doctor in addition to the midwifery practice, or is there a doctor involved with the practice? Not sure how that works.
(I remember it being mentioned in that "Business of Being Born" but I don't remember!)

Also, how did your wife feel this time vs. last time when she was drugged up? Did she feel that it wasn't an issue because it was a much calmer (or so i'd imagine) experience?

No real reason for asking - I just remember that the doc got me thinking about midwives/home births, and I've never known anyone who did this so my questions have gone unanswered. :)
