Simple math tells me he probably earned about 75 hits more in Japan than his career #'s dictate from MLB.

career avg of .353 vs 333.... with 3600 at-bats there.

Every thousand ab's, he got 20 extra hits.

75 hits over 7 years.....that's my estimate of the gap in talent for him between there and here.

That's not huge.
