They're different factors. One is the field of play; the other is in a not comparable field of play

Baselines are still 90ft for Ichiro's hits here and there....He's not a power threat here or there.
Oh's fields were much smaller; his number is not akin to US comparison.
Ichiro maybe got 8 homers a year there that he's not getting here. That's not sizable enough to matter in the overall hits mark imo.
Oh's field is clearly uncomparable.
Ichiro's....not so much.
