Rose's BA is .303 career. His OPS was .785. Ichiro's BA is .333 and his OPS is .820 or so.

one is *CLEARLY* better.

Rose's hitting is almost entirely derived from 4256 which comes from having 1700 more ab's than anyone else ever. (Hank Aaron is 2nd at 12,300 abs)

That's 3 seasons more at-bats than anyone else to ever play.

Thinking more about it, I don't think Rose is better than Ichiro in any meaningful aspect.
