Yes, you never wash it. You just wipe it down with a paper towel when it's cool. Washing it bad for a cast iron pan.

You need to cure cast iron before using it and if you wash it you'll take away the curing and you'll have to do it again or everything will stick to your pan.
I love my cast iron pans. The best flavors come from the things I cook in those pans. The best cooking investment I've made in a few years.
