My stupid lovely I adore it even though it was slow and small and battery life sucked HP TX 2500 tablet/laptop died on me yesterday after 2 years. Seems to be related to a known - although unsupported - issue with Nvidia graphics chips. Chances are I could get it repaired, but for a hefty price.

It's possible I'll have work buy me a laptop. A pretty slick one, too. Maybe a 15" Macbook. But that's all "maybe".

In the meantime, I can get this HP at Staples for $450 (I've got an additional coupon beyond this promotion).

It's big. It's fast. It's got a freaking numeric keypad. But I don't want to reward HP. What do I do?

Honestly, I don't have much of a problem with HP. Their hardware is solid, they have better driver support than Dell, I don't really have complaints - Beryllium Jun 8, 13:24 1
