Does anyone use self-checkout for groceries? Do you like it? I guess I could learn to use it, but it seems overly complicated.

My local store (a Kroger affiliate) installed one this week. I needed an attendant to override age verification for a wine purchase, and to scan in a reusable bag credit. Once everything was scanned and bagged I paid with a credit card as usual and then looked for my receipt. The scanning process was left to right, but the receipt printer is all the way back on the left.....why??

I may use it for simple stuff, but I think I'll stick with my regular checker where possible :/
