where Gasol ate Garnett's lunch one on one. Gasol had a ton of help on the inside. The Lakers left the perimeter completely undefended because they didn't need to defend it. That provided more than enough interior defense to blunt Garnett.
It wasn't Garnett's game to lose at that point. It's on Ray and especially Pierce who can go inside and shoot from the outside. That opens the floor. Neither Ray nor Pierce did their job so Laker's just clogged the middle and waited for Garnett's post moves or Rondo and Pierce's rhino charges to the basket.
