In response to "As Ebert says, no good movie is too long and no bad movie is too short. -- nm" by Reagen

See, I disagree with this. An over-extended movie length can actively disaude someone from watching it. Even if it's not a bad movie.

Benjamin Button has reached that point with me. It feels like a movie I should enjoy - love me some Fincher - but every time it comes to watch it, I just feel like it's about to be a burden to get through it.

There are some excellent three-hour films, but there are a number which would be even better as 2-2.5 hours with smart editing.
