I read something that said you should eat fruit before eating a meal. Any truth to that?

something like it gets absorbed/digested faster, so don't eat the fruit last?

What I read was something about if you eat the fruit after the "regular" food it had a chance to ferment or something.

yeah, and it also helps make you more full so you don't overeat.
