I think it might be true for some people, but I think those people tend to be bisexual in the first place.
Most of the marriage of gays/lesbians to opposite sex partners aren't because of underlying heterosexuality; rather, they're due to societal pressure and norms (and closet cases)
That's my take, at least. I don't ever want anchovies on my pizza.
