Some stuff isn't surprising. Some Republicans might be surprised about his statements about cutting defense spending. The Dems have already picked up on a lot of this. However, this being Kentucky, if Paul doesn't stick his foot in his mouth before election day he could get elected just because the Tea Party is stirring things up for him. If that happens it will be interesting to see if the Republican leadership can control him.
