minimize how many people beside them and behind them they will bother...
Had a discussion with a buddy a while back. He's one of those who does that. He feels he is important, when he absolutely must check incoming sms-es while in a theater. So I guess he wants as many people as possible to really know and see how important he is...
Makes me want to smack him over the head, that dork.
