LYC - I was bored.
I just had a birthday and I wondered how far I've travelled in all those years - planetarilly speaking.
Some of the figures are approximate, but the total should be close.
I found the latitudes for the three cities I've spent most of my life and averaged them. The I found the circumference of the earth at that average latitude. I used that as the distance I've travelled on an average day. I multiplied that by 365.25 for each year (.25 for leap years) to get my annual distance. Multiplied that by my age.
Then I took the approximate distance of the Earth's orbit around the sun times my age, added it to my terrestrial distance and that came out to a total of 29,491,555,662 miles.
