to explain the choice. The article said he was chosen as a utility man since he can play multiple positions and there's a new rule that each team can designate one player that can re-enter the game after being taken out.

So much crap with the all-star game, new rules, poor choices and having it count for something.

I *HATE* what Selig has done to the all-star game. It needs to go back to being an exhibition.
