A couple highlights here of my trip to Michigan this weekend.

First stop was Tony's I75 in Birch Run where I shared a BLT with my traveling companion. They make BIG sandwiches at that place. They have a 2-person BLT-making station. One person just keeps deep-fying the bacon, the other builds the sandwiches. The BLT was about $8. We also shared a big basket of fried mushrooms. We were full when we left. The cap is mine, the shirt is my friend's. The next day in Frankenmuth I sat outside a coffee shop while my friend went inside to get something for himself. I noticed the board of specials and had to go in & get the Bacon Mocha. It was surprisingly not bad. I don't know what they use for the bacon flavoring. The first sip had the strongest bacon flavor so I'm thinking it was something they poured over the foam. It was slightly salty at first but then the mocha took over and by the end I didn't taste bacon anymore. This morning the hotel breakfast had the thinnest slices of bacon I've ever seen. Any thinner and they would have been all air.
