The lack of HRs does not mean no power.

Though he has the same amount of HR as Wiggington since the end of May, and much better SLG.
He's second among AL OF in OBP, possibly first after today. He was tied for the lead in doubles among AL OF going into today.
He's the best hitter on the team. And nobody on the team would be a good choice. Though he is a better batter than Ichiro at the moment, and Ichiro is a starter.
