What was the final BO for it? I don't recall.

I dunno though. If we're arguing BO, we're talking about Iraq movies in general and the gamble of the dollars, not the politics of the film.
When the baseline politics of the movie jives with the baseline of the majority of Americans...How can that be considered brave? It feels like someone making a movie today about extending cival rights to blacks and arguing that it's a brave choice to do so. Heck, a riskier argument in this situation would have been to make a movie arguing that the early days were handled properly. That would challange some notions.
