Peter Gabriel has been a mixed back in success since leaving Genesis way back when ... very hit and miss IMO ... but i think the 11 minute live version of In Your Eyes is awesomeness. Genesis sans Gabriel moved into more pop-friedly fields, and that + the solo stuff (Collins, Mike + the Mechanics for example) was very solid stuff ... at least until Phil started Disney'ing up his music and went limp on us ....
And Sting? I've not been a huge fan of his solo stuff .... when he was with The Police, they were firing on all cylinders... Synchronicity is definitely one of the best albums out there by anyone, bar none. but as sting's gotten older, he's definitely mellowed out A LOT .... good and bad... I really wish the band would get back together and recapture some of the old-school Police stuff.
