That time is a bit hazy. Might have been Sly & the Family Stone or a Rock & Roll Revival show with Little Richard, Bill Haley, Bo Diddley & a bunch of others.
I remember the Bruce performance well because I'd never heard of him & he was such a dynamo on stage.
I remember Sly was over an hour late.
And I remember Little Richard closing the show and taking off his long, mirrored shirt, ripping it up and throwing pieces to the audience - and the fights that broke out as straight, white boys fought (and bled) over the pieces. Police were involved, too.
