You are kind, but I think the only people I would ever NOT pay to watch kids would be family who were doing it because they offerred to do it.

Definitely not if we asked them to.
We've watched children for five or six different families off and on over the last 10 months that I've been out of full time work, and have gladly taken all the money they've given us. Some weeks, it's what bought milk, or what we used to go on a date.
Barfy babies are tough, I hope you just started picking the kid up with a barf rag every time. Or hold him strategically so it'd yak on the ground.
