Again, perfection is what too many people are looking for, not better. As in,"I agree with seven out of ten of this parties goals, and only five out ten of the other. I'm going to support the one and support those within it that also agree with those other three until we convince enough to change the policies I don't like."

Sure, it's idealistically naive, but it is a far cry better than what we have.
