did you guys ever try the kindle ipad app (or the iphone app) on the ipad? wondering what it was like for ebook reading.

I think so. The only negative is when I'm either in sunlight or in a room where lights are reflecting on the iPad.

I can vouch for the Kindle here. I used it under direct sunlight on Miami beach and had no problems reading. -- nm
