that tidbit has been in near every article I've read today. is that not right?

I don't know for sure, but I don't see how that's possible with TBS and WGN having Braves and Cubs/ChiSox games respectively for a long time. (nm) - musubi Jul 13, 10:23 3
- the yankees cable games in the 80's were on wpix. that's who he sold the rights to early in the cable years....nm - x Jul 13, 10:26 2
  - I don't know exact dates, but we got cable in 1978 and WTBS already had baseball and WGN followed soon after. - David Jul 13, 10:33
  - Unless I'm reading this wrong, TBS carried Braves games since 1973. WPIX was a local station that carried Yankee games long before Steinbrenner. - musubi Jul 13, 10:31
