part of the offense here is that you could use a hearty dose of perspective. think about what I've been through and continue to go through since early 2007. probably the nicest single guy I met over a multiple year period of barely seeing the outside world was this one, the boyfriend of one of my sub-acute roommates, florence (and who I grew up watching on tv news):

he found love again in his 70s, she in her 60s. there's hope for something, anyway. (www.sfgate.com)
