Almost every day, my PC comes to a point where it grinds to a halt for about 20 mins, until finally a dialogue box says that a script stopped running

on "this page" - although whenever that happens, I have 8 or more tabs open.
I am computer illiterate and really don't know what that means, but after that dialogue box appears, I know things are on the right path again. A few more minutes of freeze or running so slow it's close to a freeze, and it'll be up and running again.
It can often be very annoying, though, for instance when trading on HSX, or engaged in some Facebook-chat or whatever..
