"but most of all" - anyhew: would the tax burden even be as high as the average of what people pay for health insurance? I hardly think so.

It is very obviously the health insurance companies/departments that keept this thing alive. They pay people to put these thoughts out there that catch on, such as "no to socialized medicine". And who pays for that again? Why, all who pay for health insurance, of course.. (whether it be you yourself or your employer or whomever)
