I have many different addresses. The main yahoo one is at around 8000 unread.

I've more or less given up that inbox now - rarely open it, and use other primary addresses. The main Yahoo one is for all kinds of news subscription services, Facebook and Twitter notifications etc, which is why it's getting out of hand..
