oh, a few years ago i was also posting about how i would maybe judge a dude a little if he didn't pay on the first date, in spite of myself

partially just depends on the circumstances. J had joked that i should take him out for a drink as a thank you for car help (so smooth). so at the end of the (6 hour) drink and dinner date, i insisted on paying. it worked out and my independent side was happy.
