years before I started, the place i worked for got randomly reviewed by the state professional agency. their reviewer (a hired consultant) didnt like the work, so for 2 years he pushed his complaint through every state and national branch of the professional agency he could.

eventually, the national group decided to review it, and found some deficiencies. they issued their final review notes back in 07-08. as part of that they wanted to review another similar client type, but a current year report. so we send them one which had a mid-year 2008 audit.

now my boss is all kinds of crazy because he got a letter today stating they had found all sorts of deficiencies in that audit. enough that, if all of them stand, his license will be revoked (ie, me need new job quickly).

of course that could take quite a while, but I think i need to start looking now, even though i really wanted to wait until i got my CPA certificate, since that would make me a lot more employable.
