which for a company whose stock trades at near 500$ a share should probably be an important consideration. i mean, i'm all for pure research but it seems like i'm not the only one who is a little concerned that the media darling "geniuses" at google seem to still be pretty much only in the black on the adsense/search combo that has annually been the only place they show any profit at all.
there's every chance that eventually something else they come up with will be profitable, but they probably better work it out soon because it looks like investors and analysts are getting a little antsy about all that cool new stuff they develop that doesn't do anything to bring in any revenues.
