turns out, I guess, that for her, she was just swept away, on her holiday, and when she returned home, didn't really have use for him. She kept corresponding for a while, and he wasn't getting it - that she wouldn't be his future wife after all. I got to hear a lot about that story (but notice I've forgotten most details, which is uplifting in itself :-))
Personally, I've yet to be drawn to Asian travels. I'm more attracted to Latin America and the Caribbean (so I should do something about that, sooner or later).
