Inception spoils on the discussions from BBs

I think part of the reason why there are fewer projections the deeper into dreams you go, is because you get to ever more basic levels of the thought process.

There are several levels they end up in and each level becomes a bit more basic:

The Kidnap Level: Robert is abducted and there is a fully realized city with traffic, pedestrians, etc. Lots of color.

The Hotel Level: A very modern, smooth feel to the architecture, only a few people in the bar. It is a simpler projection than the next level up. Earth tones.

The Snow Base Level: No color. Black and white only. A handful of projections. Very very basic.

Limbo: Not much differentiation in the architecture at all. Only buildings with strong emotional ties have any color or style. No projections at all.
