Saw a really nice LG LCD/HDTV at Future Shop. 32" Resolution is 1366 x 768. Thoughts appreciated.... -- (link)

720p. You'll regret not getting a 1080p even if you don't ever see the resolution. -- nm

FWIW, I've found I can but I have 20/10 vision. If you play videogames, I think it's a significant difference.

it'll be a TV for the bedroom so no games and won't get a whole lot of use really... -- nm

This is very true and I can relate because we ditched a 24" tube tv for ours.

Upon reflection, I'd probably rule the Toshiba out. 12.5k contrast is awful. And I note that this is not the Sony we liked. It's only 720p as well. -- nm

(but no matter what you get, it'll be night and day better than a tube tv) -- nm

This is absolutely true. But it's very psychological. "Oh, 720p? You couldn't afford a 1080p, 'eh?"

I agree with this. As an fyi, we got a 32" at Best Buy last week. It's 1080p and it cost $499.
