Running our cable internet service through a router totally zaps its strength. It's 20mbps down without, like 3mpbs with. -- nm

cable modems may not have wifi or multiple jacks - otherwise there really is no reason

Oh. I have verizon fios and it does wifi and has 4 ports, so that's all I have

My cable company provides a cable modem and does not support routers. You do routing, you are on your own. -- nm
