See, just defending the side is making me think about this. If you thought about it, the answers to your points inside are there too.

- Language *is* on the tax forms.
- Education level...Well, considering the gov't already has all high school graduation records and most Canadian university graduation records, AND that new Canadians do file that information on immigration paperwork.
- Size of house...Isn't that information listed on every deed registered with every municipality?
- Maintenance...I don't have a silver bullet one for this, but whenever those numbers are released annually, how are they being calculated already? GST spending?
