Many of the wiccans in Salem are there to offset the witch stereotype.

They agree with you (and me) that what happened with the trials was appalling. They're not promoting disrespect of that. Yes, some are making money off of Salem (Laurie Cabot, for example) but that's the way of capitalism. Wherever tourists go there will be opportunists.
