RE: Inception earlier with Vermin (spoils)

I actually re-watched and found the clothes on the children to be the same...

That said, I still do not think that it is a dream. I think first and foremost that Chris Nolan knows there is too much to lose in the integrity of the story to make it all a dream.

What I took from the end scene: What I failed to understand the first time watching the film was the complex nature of Leo's relationship with Mal (which was really his own subconscious). In the end, Leo spins the totem but does not even care in the least to see the outcome... because he is reunited with his children and has "conquered" the problem of Mal in his subconscious (with the help of Ariadne).

After seeing the movie a second time, i really feel that this is a truly great pic in that it is so well constructed from top to bottom. Even with the complex nature of it all, Nolan does a terrific job to basically bring it full circle and make it completely enjoyable in the process.

That said, I think that the end scene with the Totem spinning is just a continuation of theme in the movie: the audience has a creeping doubt. Leo (Cobb) is tortured with guilt and this creeping doubt that he might have been wrong, but in the end, he gets back to his kids, spins the totem, and doesn't even care to see the result because he has finally found peace. The end is only there because people in the audience would have always had this "creeping doubt" about whether it was all a dream or not, but Cobb knows after confronting Mal that he is where he needs to be.

Yes, I'm drunk. That explains the rambles.
