Jeez, Verizon truly has worse customer service than Comcast even.

We have the verizon fios bundle (home phone, fios internet, tv), which we've had for about a few years. I was looking into the current offers since we aren't actually under contract now. Of course they only had one bundle option for my area (and none of the ones they highlight on their home page), an it's a costly one, but whatev I mainly wanted to increase the internet speed faster.
The process is absurd.
I tried to "upgrade" online and it keeps talking about "installation dates" and "thank you for moving your service to digital voice" and stuff that you would say to a person that's not already with Verizon. I did the online chat and the person was completely clueless. The rep walked me through the steps to take online and eventually I got to an "installation date" page. It said to make sure somebody is at home.
I don't need installation, I already have it!! The only thing they'd need to do would be a completely automated process of adding a few channels I don't already have and increasing the dl/ul speeds. It also mentioned a $50 activation fee. Are you kidding me??
I mentioned these concerns to the rep and that I was having second thoughts and the response was "I'm sure you'll love our service though!"
Grrr.
