Yep, I've driven home from Chaco Canyon or Albuquerque in about 12 hours. A little less than 800 miles.

Toronto to New Orleans in less than 24 hours (didn't really time it) and Dallas to Toronto in about 20 or 21 hours. -- nm

I drove cross country (out and back) a number of years ago. Out west is a million times easier.
