I am like this too. I can fall asleep fast but I wake up too early with my mind racing. And I don't like to nor want to take meds for it. Exercise

doesn't help change it for me and food doesn't seem to affect it one way or the other.

One thing I found that has helped recently, not perfectly but I do notice a difference, is our new mattress. An expensive only possible solution to be sure. But we all need to and should sleep well.
