I spent a lot of time alone during some periods of kidlethood, especially after my mom left when I was around 11. even though I kept myself stimulated quite a bit (reading, tv, radio, hanging out outside), it sucked when there wasn't more interaction with others, especially in Summertime; and I think it altered who I might have been.
that there's even less stimulation for the kids in your mix hits me. :/
you're doing a good service while you're there, but I hope something changes the situation soon, before the kids are impacted in ways that will stick with them.
