It's incredibly fun, goofy and funny. It doesn't get enough credit for being funny.

In addition it's going to be one of those shows that will be recognized as socially evolutionary. They're dealing with some heavy, heavy subjects, specifically what it's like to be a homosexual teenager. Some of that stuff is heart breaking.

The overall subject of teenage alienation is pretty compelling to anyone who was ever 16 and gives the show a shot.

I think it gets a knee-jerk reaction for the singing. In a strange way I think the criticism of it doesn't reflect well on those who are bashing it. I watch and enjoy it but I'm mystified why it's hated. It, like the kids it portrays, gets hacked to little pieces for reasons that make no sense to me.
