The move to AA was to pair him with a particular manager. They had no staff completely fluent in spanish at Dunedin. There's a strong rumour that the Jays AA manager, a Peurto Rican fluent in Spanish, is Cito's replacement next year and that the team wanted him personally working with the kid(who's also had a strong ten days.)
Since the move, the kid's average has risen to .295 and he's hitting more extra bases.
