He had the opportunities....most of us like the Rundown it seems...audiences didn't

that's not him squandering; that's the audience not wanting for whatever reason.

and he's managed to sustain a family entertainment career in the meantime. He didn't disappear like Seagal or Van Damme.

And he'll continue to get opportunities to play roles that could break out. That's not squandering in my mind.

Squandering is a personal action that limits your ability to get opportunities; be it Diesel's ego, Norton's inflexibility, Lohan's personal self-destruction or Rourke's personal desire to flee.
