I'm saying physical abuse, you seem to be pointing toward sexual abuse.

If I walked into a clinic and said my father has a temper and is arguably abusive....of course you should have reservations about telling him about my condition.

If I say the baby's my daddy, there should be a fullscale investigation, not just a cop asking a few questions.

The former case is what i'm thinking PP is pushing to prevent; the latter is so uncommon, it's not in the conversation.

I migth be wrong, but that's my gut feeling.
