I'd think that after a year of him seeing that she is not like his ex - that it would be unnecessary to keep saying it

granted people can get married and then flip a switch and become - bitchy or sex with holding or money spenders or religious to point of fantatical but really there is a risk of that ( however small) in any marriage/relationship.
