I think that's why the jogging has sank in with me; I'm competing with myself.

we are doing another 5k race this Saturday night, and I'd like to beat my last 5k time. (Although this one might be a lot more difficult, so I'm not counting on it.)

The weight loss is a result of that, along with the conscience change to our daily diet.
