It didn't happen because he didn't want to do it.

It's entirely possible that this trade was a wake-up call and he'll grow up some. It's much more likely that he will continue to be what he has been, a talented but mercurial player who is utterly unreliable.

And Yunel's comments belie the fact that he was once one of the most popular players on the Braves. People stopped supporting him after his constant mental mistakes. He had -four- of those in one game the week before the trade, the last of which almost got Troy Glaus killed.
